Über Cube 2

Cube 2 is an FDM 3D printer from Longer with a build volume of 120 x 140 x 105 mm. This machine is marketed towards younger audience, which is reflected in its design and a starter working area size. The printer is lightweight and compact, it comes pre-assembled. Good features include a magnetic print plate and a removable nozzle for easier cleaning, print resume, filament sensor and a relatively quiet operation. The machine prints at temperatures up to 250°C. All the wiring of the printer is covered, and the unit has a power switch – all features that are a plus when it comes to beginner printers.

We must point out that on the downside the printer doesn’t have any doors or covers for the working area and allows access to the hot nozzle. The nozzle itself seems to come with a silicone cover (kudos for that), however, it is open from the bottom and has some area exposed. Thus, children are recommended (at least in our opinion) to work with the printer under supervision to prevent accidental burns. The machine also lists ABS as a compatible material, however, it doesn’t seem to have a heated bed or any covers to do that. The user menu of Cube 2 is friendly and simple, though, it doesn’t limit you in regards to settings and functions.
