What is the best material for miniatures?

There are many materials you can use for miniatures, depending on the level of details and your budget. In short, we'd recommend the following:

• FDM plastic - is good for bigger figurines without intricate details and thin walls. It also works fine for terrains and gaming accessories, especially of a bigger size. Anything below 0.2-0.4 mm details won't look that great.
• Generic resin - is your go-to for figurines, minis, heroes and character models. Resin printing delivers high-resolution details and smooth surface even in intricate areas. It will be too costly and slow for bigger models, so smaller figures and accessories are the best use.
• HD resins, Grey Pro and other resins for better details - these resins are used for artisan miniatures with lots of details, which need an outstanding level of surface finish.
• Polyamides and SLS printing are better to be used for larger landscape models and action figurines with joints. This tech isn't very budget friendly and won't produce very thin details. However, for big terrains or snap-fit minis, it is probably the best one out there.
